My Instagram Feed ❤️❤️

When you lose a parent part of your mourning is the loss of your childhood. I'm incredibly thankful to have my sister with me to share in this experience. Our shared history reminds me I'm not alone.
Talking yourself up isn't bragging or selfish. You need to be able to articulate your accomplishments and value. Don't assume leadership is aware of what you're doing. You're awesome and leadership needs to know that!❤️
There's something surreal about being in your hometown dealing with the loss of a parent. Funeral planning, going through old photo albums, visiting family, dealing with grief and the bittersweet loss of childhood, all while the world keeps spinning and people go on with their daily lives.
It's with much love and a heavy heart that Karen and I share the passing of our mother Mary early this morning. She was comfortable and at peace and wanted desperately to be with our father again. We were able to be with her as she fell asleep to make that journey.
It can feel very strange to move from a doer of things to a leader of people, and at first you might feel like you aren't doing anything! Remember it's your job to give the team the tools and resources they need and encouragement to succeed.
I am not afraid. I was born to do this. Joan of Arc.
